Are you in Mexico right now, wondering where and when the most important events will take place? Or are you still planning your trip, thinking when is the best time to go? In this Mexico calendar I will tell you what is going on in the country each month of the year.
Travel
Stories about people, situations and projects in countries that I travelled and my personal tips, that make every trip so much easier.
Interrail: My travel route through Europe
Ten stops in 21 days, wherever you want in Europe, with the Interrail Pass. That doesn't have to cost you more than 200 Euros, as long as you are younger than 26. At first, that might sound like a stressful trip, but it is the perfect opportunity to see a lot in a short time. Here is my route through Switzerland, Italy, France and Spain.
Tips for a weekend in Mexico City
Mexico's capital does not have a particularly good reputation: a high crime rate, smog and overcrowding. Already from the plane you can not recognize the beginning and end of the city. Just houses as far as you can see. If you are in Mexico City for the first time, you will be surprised how many beautiful corners there are in this city. No matter if you use Mexico City just for a stopover, visit during a weekend trip or spend your whole vacation here. I will show you how to best plan your time and what you should not miss on any account.
Mexico Yucatán: The most beautiful places on the peninsula
The Yucatán peninsula is the first port of call in Mexico for most Europeans. Flights to Cancún are sometimes available for as little as 300 Euros and the standards and general safety in Yucatán are much higher than in the rest of the country. Yucatán is actually a small country itself, where you can easily fill a holiday of several weeks. I will show you which places on the peninsula you must have visited.
Outback Australia: Road Trip
Aborigines, Ayers Rock and endless, empty streets - one of the most exciting routes for a road trip in Australia is probably the one through the middle. Through the Australian outback from Alice Springs to Darwin in a camper van. For two weeks we drove through the red center up to tropical regions, slept in our camper, took a bath in some hot springs and met a couple of kangaroos, aborigines and aliens. Here is my route through the outback with all its highlights.
Great Ocean Road and Melbourne: Highlights
Paradise beaches, beach towns and surf meccas - the 300 kilometers long coastal road from Tourquay to Nelson starts only one hour away from Melbourne's city center. All the way in the South of Australia. I traveled it by car in three days, from Melbourne to Port Fairy. Find here the best stops along the way.
